Mobile Media Facts and Figures: Why your integrated communications plan can’t live without it

From mobile commerce and text messaging campaigns to QR codes and augmented reality, mobile marketing is, without a doubt, essential to an integrated communications campaign. Tech-savvy consumers have adopted mobile communication and use it as a preferred method of communicating. According to the Performics 2011 Mobile Search Insights Study, 57 percent of respondents use the mobile Web more than once/day and 77 percent used mobile search more than five times in the last month.
Among those surveyed, adaptation of mobile search is also on the rise:
- 75 percent said mobile search makes their lives easier
- 63 percent said access to mobile search has changed the way they gather information
- 32 percent said they use mobile search more than search engines on their computers

- By 2014, mobile Internet should over take desktop Internet usage
